Our mission:
Temple Beth El Religious School students will become partners with G-d and each other in order to create a world of shalom—peace, harmony and balance--through study, prayer and acts of lovingkindness.
Our program:
Temple Beth El Religious School is a place for young people to develop their understanding of how to live in partnership with G-d and each other, as well as to practice what they learn. In this way, we guide our children to be a kehillah kedoshah, a holy community. Students are welcomed into a positive and creative atmosphere, where every child is valued as an individual. A curriculum focus on study, prayer, and social action allows children to experience the joys of Judaism. Subjects spiral through the grade levels, allowing students to explore concepts at greater depth as they grow in understanding. To nurture a strong sense of community among our students and their families, we offer an after-school sports and games program monthly for each grade level.
Our program currently serves families with children from preschool through Bar or Bat Mitzvah age, with a course in modern Hebrew for post-B’nei Mitzvah students. Classes meet Sunday mornings throughout the school year. Weekday afternoon Hebrew is also offered, to supplement our Sunday Hebrew program. The Religious School curriculum has been carefully designed to meet the needs, interests, and abilities of each age level.
Current membership in Temple Beth El is a requirement for admission to the Religious School program.
